Imagen Ltd announced today that ATP Media, the global sales, broadcast production and worldwide distribution arm of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and ATP World Tour 500 tournaments, has installed two Imagen enterprise video platforms to manage and publish its unique portfolio of tennis archive and newly produced content.
The archive content, which will span from 1990 to the present day, includes full match action, player ISO, specially filmed behind-the-scenes footage, hi-motion, FreeD and Spidercam compilations, interviews, and tournament and city scenics.
Stuart Watts, COO, ATP Media, said
“We needed a secure system that would enable us to present archive content in an attractive way to our broadcasters and other clients, making it simple for them to access both archive and newly produced content the moment it became available.
Imagen provided all the components we needed to share our media easily and securely.”
The first Imagen system takes new content from ATP Media’s tournaments and publishes the media as it is generated. The system also manages ATP Media’s existing archive, enabling broadcasters and other clients to search, playback, make clips and request content to license – all through a customized, easy to use and beautifully designed website interface.
The second Imagen system is used by ATP Media to curate and present the newly produced content to its groundbreaking Broadcast Portal. Secure links are provided so broadcasters, news agencies and other clients can download the high resolution content.
Tom Blake, Managing Director, Imagen Ltd, said, “Imagen provides all the tools required to create a branded website with all the back-end functionality, security and reliability needed to share and take care of highly valuable content. We’re very pleased that Imagen has enabled ATP Media to present and monetize its unique tennis archive.”
