New content portal provides 1000s of hours of premium sports content – for broadcasters, marketing, training and more
LONDON — 13th November, 2018 — Imagen Ltd, a leading provider of video management and distribution services, today announced that Champions Hockey League (CHL) has selected the award-winning Imagen platform to manage and distribute its vast library of video and image assets. The CHL media portal provides rapid online access to broadcast partners, league members and sponsors who will be able to search an exclusive library of CHL media and download HD quality assets in just a few clicks.
The fully branded site was commissioned and delivered in under 90 days to meet the start of the 2018 season and contains over a thousand hours of archive content dating back to the 2014/15 season plus over 4000 images.
Video from the current season is shot listed so users can enjoy pin point accurate searching within long form games. CHL’s content portal automatically imports event logs for each game via Imagen’s API and synchronises with video so that entire games are easy to search and navigate using time based metadata. Users can play video, create clips, make collections and even download content for use offline – a useful feature for players and coaches who can use the platform as a training resource.
Tom Wild, Senior Project Manager from Imagen adds
“CHL needed a branded media portal in under 90 days to meet the start of their 2018 season. A few months into the season it’s great to see the live site returning over 15,000 records and servicing a variety of requests from CHL’s sport and media network”
Martin Baumann, CEO from CHL commented
“We were looking for a platform that not only would give our partners easy access and a great experience, but it was also important that we knew our content would be safely archived for the long term. Imagen gives us the best of both.”
