NEW YORK - May 4 2022 - Imagen, the intuitive video and rich media management platform, today announces that The United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) have recently implemented Imagen for their Direct Platform to distribute news content across the globe.
USAGM is an independent federal news agency which oversees the U.S. government’s international media networks including Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Office of Cuba Broadcasting, Radio Free Asia, and Middle East Broadcasting. Direct is a platform powered by Imagen that distributes multimedia content to their partners worldwide. The media organizations that comprise the USAGM network communicate with more than 354 million people worldwide each week. This project was launched with the help of Diversified, a media technology solutions provider that partners with Imagen.
USAGM serves many different networks, partners, and affiliates globally, which means there is a need for alternative formats of content in different languages. Imagen is the central hub for all of the networks’ source content, making file discovery much easier. As a part of the service, Imagen is also providing content localization for 28 languages within the platform to ensure maximum accessibility.
“Thanks to the elegant UI design of Imagen and the workflow capabilities, migration and adoption to the platform was seamless for USAGM’s end users. Historically, USAGM’s environment was comprised of several different MAM platforms, with each media partner on their siloed system, making it difficult to manage. With a single ecosystem, management, efficiencies, and monetization of content is easier than ever before.” Liz Davis, Diversified, VP of Media Workflow, Global
“We’re thrilled to have partnered with Diversified on this new project. This deployment is an important milestone in our partnership, and we are pleased to have helped USAGM centralize and enrich their media assets and streamline their distribution workflows.” Nick Ashwin, Imagen, SVP Americas
