London, UK - 3 November 2021 – Imagen, the intuitive video and rich media management platform today announces that AMOT are deploying Imagen Pro to preserve First World War archives held in Regimental UK Museums with a freely accessible portal.
As AMOT digitise their physical assets, the Imagen platform will store over 2 million items dating from 1900-1929. The platform’s advanced metadata and filtering functionality enables users to easily discover content such as regimental collections, annotated images, or video tours spanning decades.
Lieutenant General Sir Philip Trousdell, former Chairman of the Army Museums Ogilby Trust, “In The Ogilby Muster, the Army Museums Ogilby Trust has created an enormously powerful research tool for students, family researchers, historians and those with even a casual interest in the First World War. This project honours the memories and experiences of those who served in the Army in ‘The War to End all Wars’, their families and their communities. The museums from which these archives have been mustered have rich collections of artefacts ready for you to examine.”
“I’m always delighted to start working with a new customer, but AMOT is truly a remarkable organisation. Preserving our British history is of national significance, and it’s a privilege to turn previously inaccessible military material into a visible portal for the public countrywide. We hope to continue helping them grow their digital library, and making content accessible for generations to come.” Charlie Horrell, CEO, Imagen
