LONDON – April 5 2023 – Imagen, the leading cloud media asset management platform today announced the latest version of Live Connect, providing rights holders, broadcasters, teams and leagues with the ability to ingest live feeds for redistribution and archive.
From camera to cloud, Live Connect ingests and automatically stores multiple live feeds via SRT and RTMP protocols. Providing Imagen users with permission-based access to share, download, edit, enrich, and repurpose live content as it’s happening. The capability to ingest multiple camera angles gives content creators the unique ability to choose what they want to clip, edit and highlight, getting fresh media to their audiences rapidly.
In an environment all about speed Live Connect reduces the time to market, making live content available immediately to partners, unlike traditional broadcast methods. This is a step-change in sports, news and event-based media management.
“We’re really excited to introduce this enhancement to the Imagen platform. We’ve seen the challenges our customers have streamlining their live workflows, and giving partners the right level of access to content. Live Connect provides one platform with granular permission controls to automatically distribute, store and edit live content. Clients including New Zealand Cricket have been using Live Connect for redistribution to OTT platforms across the world. We look forward to rolling out our enhanced functionality more widely.”, Charlie Horrell, CEO, Imagen
